What You Need:
Soap- I use Fels Naptha soap (97 cents!!).
Borax- This is a deodorizer and brightens clothes. Borax is a
naturally mineral: Sodium Borate. ($4.99 for 76oz)Washing Soda- You can find washing soda in the same isle as
laundry detergent and Borax. ($3.20 for 55oz)(Optional)
Essential oils- I have used Citronella, tea tree and citrus.-A glass Jar- Any hobby store.
-Wood spoon- Etsy $15 for 100 or $1.99 at Hobby Lobby
Recipe:
1: Grate the soap. If you have a Kitchen Aid mixer with the grater
attachment, that is the easiest way to go! Otherwise, you can use just a cheese
grater or food processor.
2: One cup of Borax and One cup of Washing Soda.
3: Pour the Borax and Washing soda in the jar along with the shredded soap.
(Optional)
Put in two drops of essential oil.
And now you have made Laundry Soap!!
